The man central to this dispute is Vishal Kharel (विशाल खरेल), a Bhutanese refugee. Samragyee had recently shared engagement photos with him on social media, bringing their relationship into the public eye.
The intimacy between Samragyee and Vishal allegedly developed during their collaboration on a high-budget project. In the year 2081 B.S., the two worked together on a music video titled ‘Malati’. The production team publicized the video’s cost as significantly high, claiming a budget of 60 lakh (six million). The shooting for this expensive production took place in Thailand.
It is understood that their closeness increased during the filming of this music video. Sarita Subba specifically claimed that it was during this period in Thailand that she discovered Samragyee and Vishal had shared a bed.
Sarita recounted the moment of discovery and confrontation clearly: “That woman [Samragyee] knew that we were married and that we have a child. I learned that my ex and that woman cheated. I asked my ex as well. He also accepted it, saying yes. We separated after he admitted that ‘we did share a bed'”.
Ethical Fallout and Professional Consequences
Sarita’s serious claims have cast a pall over Samragyee Shah’s morality. Given that Vishal is openly known to be a divorcee, the actress is now facing intense accusations of misusing her star power to break up a family. Sarita’s video message appears to lend full weight to these previously circulating allegations.

She specifically asked them not to create content based on incomplete or inaccurate information, stating: “Don’t make content without knowing properly. Do not connect just any random things to the content. This affects my life and the life of my child”. Although Sarita did not mention Samragyee and Vishal by name in her video, the target of her claims and expressions was easily identifiable.
Samragyee’s Denial
In response to the mounting controversy, Samragyee Shah issued a rebuttal via Instagram. She refuted the accusations, asserting that she has not dated any person who was in a marital relationship. Samragyee maintained her claim that she was not involved in the act of breaking up a family.
